Pronombres reflexivos en inglés: ejercicios para practicar

Los pronombres reflexivos son bastante sencillos de aprender, pero a veces no basta simplemente con memorizarlos. Para aprender a usarlos de verdad, hace falta practicar. Aquí tienes unos cuantos ejercicios.

 

Elige el pronombre correcto

Aprende a elegir el pronombre que concuerde con el sujeto. Rellena los espacios de las frases siguientes con un solo pronombre reflexivo:

• I sometimes ask ____________ why I live in this city.
• They will behave ____________ if they know their parents are watching.
• He is too young to wash ____________.
• I hurt ____________ when I was climbing over a fence.
• You should help ____________ to some salad, it’s excellent!
• Have you seen ____________? You’re a mess!
• This robot can repair ____________.
• You can blame ____________ for what happened.
• Aren’t you enjoying ____________?
• We will have to teach ____________ to play the guitar.

 

Y ahora, comprueba que las tienes bien:

• They will behave themselves if they know their parents are watching.
• He is too young to wash himself.
• I hurt myself when I was climbing over a fence.

• Have you seen yourself? You’re a mess!

Encuentra los errores

El reflexivo en español no siempre coincide con el reflexivo en inglés. Estas frases contienen pronombres reflexivos traducidos literalmente y de forma incorrecta. Encuentra los errores:

• I need to wash myself the hair.
• He broke himself a leg in the accident.
• I am getting myself old.
• I slept myself at midnight.
• I forgot myself the keys at home!

 

Y aquí tienes las respuestas:

• I need to wash my hair.
• He broke his/a leg in the accident.
• I am getting old.
• I fell asleep at midnight.
• I left my keys at home!

 

Traduce

Te toca escribir. Traduce las siguientes frases de la forma más natural que puedas, ¡nada de traducir palabra por palabra! Recuerda que los pronombres reflexivos en español no suelen traducirse como reflexivos en inglés. Tienes las respuestas al final:

• Me estoy haciendo mayor.
• Le da igual lo que digas.
• Se ha comido los dos platos y el postre.
• No ha venido a trabajar porque se ha puesto enfermo.
• ¿Se ha presentado?
• Hizo el proyecto ella sola.
• Voy a lavarme las manos.
• No me creo que se le haya estropeado el coche.
• Me encuentro muy bien hoy.
• Siempre se ha culpado por lo que ocurrió.
