Pasar de activa a pasiva en inglés: ejercicios para practicar

¿Sigues teniendo dificultades para pasar de activa a pasiva en inglés? No te preocupes, esto es cuestión de práctica. Te traemos unos cuantos ejercicios para que termines de pulir tus habilidades formando frases en pasiva. Si lo necesitas, repasa antes de empezar.

 

Fill in the gaps

Para empezar, coloca la forma correcta del verbo entre paréntesis en el espacio. Tienes las respuestas al final.

  • The cat was __________________ (save) by the fireman.
  • The boys were _________________ (surprise) by the loud noise.
  • The speaker was ____________ (invite) by the university.
  • The burglar was _____________ (see) by a neighbour.
  • The hen was ________________ (eat)by a fox.
  • The representative was ______________ (choose)by the board of directors.

Active to passive

Vamos a ponerlo un poco más difícil. Prueba a pasar estas frases en activa a la pasiva. Recuerda poner el complemento directo (marcado en negrita) de la frase en activa al principio y no te olvides de respetar los tiempos verbales. El sujeto de la frase en activa (subrayado) puede omitirse o ponerse detrás de un by. Corrige tus respuestas cuando acabes mirando la sección final.

  • Our cat killed the bird.
  • The teacher will not correct these exams.
  • The company might not hire my brother.
  • Underage kids should not watch that film.
  • A man called Francesco Rampazetto invented one of the first typewriters in 1575.
  • The Puritan government banned Christmas in Massachusetts in 1659.

Forma tus propias frases

Para terminar, un ejercicio un poco más complejo: te damos ideas de vocabulario para que formes tus propias frases. Basándote en las estructuras pasivas que ya conoces, forma tus propias frases con las palabras que tienes a continuación.

  • Tons of plastic, drop, sea, every day.

Active to passive

  • The bird was killed by our cat.
  • These exams will not be corrected by the teacher.
  • My brother might not be hired by the company.
  • That film should not be watched by underage kids.
  • One of the first typewriters was invented by a man called Francesco Rampazetto in 1575.*
  • Christmas was banned in Massachusetts in 1659 by the Puritan government.*
