Ejercicios y teoría de frases con going to

¡We’re going to have fun! Las frases con going to son muy usadas en inglés. Esta perífrasis nos sirve para hablar de nuestra intención. Se trata de hablar de un futuro muy inmediato. Aquí te dejamos las explicaciones que necesitas para dominarlo y ejercicios para interiorizarlo.

 

Going to versus Will

Ya sean frases con going to o con el auxiliar will ambos verbos nos sirven para hablar de ideas en el futuro (puedes consultar un interesante artículo sobre el futuro en inglés en este post). Sin embargo ambas estructuras son diferentes y tiene matices que hacen que no sean siempre intercambiables.

• We are going to have dinner today at that new trendy restaurant.
• If today rains, I will stay at home.

    

Como vemos en los dos ejemplos, “going to” se usa para hablar de planes y para transmitir intenciones. En cambio el uso del futuro formado con “will” está basado en explicar una decisión espontánea del momento, expresar futuro en cláusulas condicionales encabezadas por “If” o para establecer promesas:

• I’m exhausted, I think I’ll going to the bed.
• I’ll promise I’ll take care of you.
• What are you going to do this weekend? I am going to the beach. (planes)
• I think it’s going to rain this afternoon/ I think it will rain this weekend (en este caso es una predicción, y se puede usar tanto uno como otro).

 

Frases con going to

Hacer planes:

• I’m going to watch a TV show today. 
• I’m going to quit smoking this year.
• We’re going to lose our flight.
• Are they going to eat cake in the party?
• I’m going to see my doctor tomorrow morning.
• Are you going to study this weekend?

Hablar del futuro inmediato:

• Are you going to pay with your credit card?
• We are going to check this right now.
• Is she going to the supermarket now?

• ¿Going to o will? Escoge la opción más adecuada en cada caso y conjuga el verbo entre paréntesis según convenga.

• Piensa en cómo se conjugaría el verbo entre paréntesis de cada frase en el tiempo que se forma con going to. Hazlo en afirmativo o en negativo según corresponda.

  2. June and her brother _______ (travel) around the world the whole next year.
  3.  _______ (not go) Jane ____ to the beach?
